2。5/5This was not as fun。 I barely smiled while reading it。 It made me feel like an adult who's reading middle - grade stuff and complaining about how unfunny they are。I don't know why there's a drop in quality in the series, but I really hope it gets better。 2。5/5This was not as fun。 I barely smiled while reading it。 It made me feel like an adult who's reading middle - grade stuff and complaining about how unfunny they are。I don't know why there's a drop in quality in the series, but I really hope it gets better。 。。。more

It was kind of confusing。 Not that good。 The diary of wimpy kid series are better。

This is I think one of the best Diary of a wimpy Kid's/ Rowley's diary book。 It was very interesting seeing a story within a story and the challenges that come into writing a book。 I liked how kind and thoughtful Rowley was to not make the book promote bad stuff and hurt anyone。 And he was certainly very creative (the author of course he made all these stories within stories stuff)。 The drawings and style were amazing as always!!! The Rowley Jefferson spin-off series continues with this meta-narrative: Rowley writes a fantasy story about Roland the Kind and his friend Garg the Barbarian, helpfully critiqued by the irrepressibly self-centred and materialistic Greg Heffley。 Good for a few laughs to pass an hour or two。

Big improvement over the previous one。 I like this direction。 Hopefully, Kinney capitalizes on its strengths in the next one。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 It was good but all I’m going to say is why is Greg bossing Rowley about his book in my opinion it is actually amazing no matter what Greg says!!

Carsyn

My favorite character was Greg Hefley because he always has something to say about everything? what surprised me the most was that he wrote a book inside of a book。 I would not change anything because it was such a good book。

reading with X。。。 in anticipation of our Jeff Kinney drive thru author visit (March 19, 21) and the fact that I haven't read them yet。Story within a story。。 surrounded by Greg trying to convince Rowley of how to make it more profitable when they sell the movie rights。 reading with X。。。 in anticipation of our Jeff Kinney drive thru author visit (March 19, 21) and the fact that I haven't read them yet。Story within a story。。 surrounded by Greg trying to convince Rowley of how to make it more profitable when they sell the movie rights。 。。。more

I really like this book because I like adventures and anyone who likes this book should also try and read The Dairy of a Wimpy Kid series。 Lastly, I like this book because of one eyes magical wizard cast a spell on the main characters neighbor which makes the main character goes on huge adventure for nothing。

Fun reading with my six-year-old son。 There are some Game of Thrones digs and other adult jokes, always enjoyable。 Rowley's cooler than Greg (er, Garg)。 Fun reading with my six-year-old son。 There are some Game of Thrones digs and other adult jokes, always enjoyable。 Rowley's cooler than Greg (er, Garg)。 。。。more

This was adorable。 Mimics kid writing very well and yet does a great job of hitting the tropes of the genre and the personalities of Rowley and Greg。

I COULD NOT TAKE HOW ICONIC THIS WAS

Eric Evans

Read this with my son and we enjoyed it。 It has its laugh out loud moments and your moments where your gonna guess what Greg is going to do。 I thought it was cool to do a story inside a story。

Kylie Abecca

I found this book yawn activating 🥱 most six year olds can write a more compelling story。

Sarah A。

I didn't care about Rowley's story, but I liked the parts where Greg and Rowley talk about the book (they were very funny!)。 I didn't care about Rowley's story, but I liked the parts where Greg and Rowley talk about the book (they were very funny!)。 。。。more
